18 MONTHS INTENSIVE REHAB
Nicole was born with Cystic Fibrosis. She was fit and healthy holidaying in Nth QLD, enjoying an active lifestyle. Her holiday was cut short when she caught Influenza A. 5 days later Nicole would be on life support requiring a transplant.
IAN - LIVING DONOR SUPER HERO
After taking a long period off work to care for his wife, Ian then took another 3 months off work to donate to a Kidney exchange program where a stranger receives his Kidney and in turn Nicole receives one in the exchange.
Not only is Nicole now thriving, Ian himself returned to competing in an Ironman where he is now president and coach of his local club.

Petra is you. Fit, healthy, young. Never an issue. She was running along Elwood beach in Victoria training for a half marathon. She sat down, short of breath and passed out.
Petra woke up 6 weeks later, having died 3 times. She had suffered a heart attack and would need a heart transplant.
